I've been absent for a few days as I've been working to a deadline for some design work that I need to complete for tomorrow.  I'm more relaxed today as I have more or less finished and yes it's really nice to be back :) I miss my routine of gym-breakfast-coffee-blogging; Yep I'm a creature of habit :)  So about todays post.  I found this amazing apartment over on My Scandinavian Home and I just loved the story behind it.  This apartment belongs to Juli and Nicolai, who had the dream to leave their jobs in Denmark to pursue a new life in Cannes! Look at the result, isn't it stunning?

Shot in a beautiful place.  I love those floors and panelled walls.  As much as I dream of having a brand new, minimal, modern place one day....I can't get over the features and details of old buildings - they are so much more of a blank canvass to me.

....from Swedish calligraphy artist Ylva Skarp.  Her work is so very beautiful and often comes with a thought provoking message.  She has just added more to her collection. See more here.

From a board called Fallegt which means nice or beautiful in Icelandic. Thank you for the Pinspiration Edda Kjartansdóttir :)

Happy Monday lovely people!

A few images that I've had hanging around for a while. I love all of them for different reasons.

This image is somehow familiar to me, but I don't know where from and who the artist is. Maybe you know? Nevertheless, I love it.  It's beautiful and I'm glad I came across it.

In the September issue of Elle Decoration UK. It's just a really lovely mix of materials and furniture. Love! On another subject regarding Elle Decoration UK, my shop, Story North was just placed in their top 21 online stores!  I was so happy to see that! Plus it's raining outside. I'm a happy girl :)

Wow I love this image, it's just so powerful. The is so much raw beauty in winter; to me it's the most inspirational time of the year. The beautiful girl looks completely at home out there in the cold with those gorgeous horses.

We (our shop Story North) are hosting a giveaway over on Sweet Paul.  We are giving away a large Pia Wallen Cross Blanket in the ever popular black and white colour-way.  A really great prize.  Hop over to enter :)

This very lovely board is full of beautiful images; images that are so beautiful, they made it onto my Pinspiration feature today. It's called "Stylings + Musings", hop over and take a look.

A stunning mix of minimalism and rustic styling.  I love those raw stone walls with those industrial lamps.  This perfect concoction is the result of a collaboration between Norm Architects and Menu. It's highly likely that you've seen this place out there in the blogosphere before now, but I simply had to post! Another reason to visit Copenhagen VERY soon.

Feeling naughty? Well it is almost the weekend! I love Friday nights, it's such a nice time of the week. It's time to RELAX! What are your plans this weekend? I will spend some of it working (as I am crazy-busy) and the rest will be spent drinking lots of coffee, baking, watching some movies and taking a big walk on the beach. Happy whatever-you're-doing :)

BYNORD DOES IT AGAIN its A/W '13 brochure, with beautiful winter styling and photography.  Just look at those lovely natural colours, the herringbone wooden floors, along side the monochrome ceramics and earthy linens.  Just my style.  On the subject of A/W '13, I  am so excited for the colder season to start, we have had an amazing summer, but I am a cold weather girl :) The more extreme the weather outside - the better!

I posted about Elisabeth's apartment here, but I wanted to post some more shots of her beautiful home as it is quite special.  I love the mix of the cement floors, natural fabrics, the wood and rattan along with the blackboard.  That Tipi is a lovely playhouse for those adorable kids!

From a very nice board called "Nature"

I love this idea of making-over an Ikea cabinet with new doors, legs and handles
(from Superfront).  What a great Idea! I absolutely love the pink fish-scales pattern.
